Ok here is some more photos
I had a choice today to load the coil shotgun or suicide so i picked shotgun to get some better photos of the coil and chain pattern. Last shotgun coil photos i took you couldn't see the cross chains ect.
Also read on the FMCSA website last night before i went to bed.
You need to have a friction mat under your coil rack,(not taught at swift) friction padds on rack(taught) and a bulkhead in front of the coil (not taught) i thought that was interesting due to every flatbed securement violation is 10 points under CSA 2010. anyways here are some photos.......and video

bulkhead, not the best but present. beveled wood was to long to put sideways, also with these step deck trailers it is best in my opinion to haul coils suicide due to the weird chain tie down points
    [IMG] finished product
    total ammount of chains-7
    straps-2
weight of coil 39,000lbs of steel+ 30lbs of paper wrapping it(hey it was on the BOL)

this is the nicest so far they sat a coil on my trailer, last time they dropped it and broke the beveled wood and put it through my trailer floor and damaged the top of the coil with the claw, this time they only sid on of my beveled wood pieces about 6 inches, thankfully it is extra long wood.
