    i'm currently hauling the i beams to san diego court house have to drop off in at 6am then who knows from their. I spent the weekend in Vegas since i live there. I parked at the orleans because its well lit, has security and is about 10 miles from my house!

    Hey Schumd- Enjoying your posts. Do you know anything about the flatbed drivers over here on the east coast? Do they basically do the same as you, home time, do all of the Swifts yards do flatbed or just a select few? Thanks for your time.

    Thanks for the great pictures. Stay warm out there. Is it just my observation or do former military guys gravitate to Flatbedding? Must be something about keeping things dress right dress, nothing on the road looks worse(and is probaly as unsafe) as a sloppy flatbed load securement.

    no not all of the yards are flatbed on the east coast we have greer and gary indiana....i'm sure they have flatbedders based out of both though

    stupid question here.

    if you drop a loaded trailer, you obviously need to leave it tarped and strapped.

    Do you ever loose stuff to a fellow flatbedder that way?

    no you take your straps and tarps off....the terminal has "yard" tarps you cover the load with till the next guy picks it up

    Hey schmud, good to see another Swift flatbedder around. I landed here thanks to a Google link ;) Maybe see you on the road sometime - I run the Weyerhauser dedicated account usually....though lately I've been seeing a lot of oddball steel loads.
