Ya the guy who wanted to do a swap with me this morning woke me up around 1am and asked me to leave everything on it......i said no......he said i don't have the big edge protectors like you....oh well....it took alot for me to acquire those!
The load was that flat wire mesh crap, you really dont need them i guess but i don't trust it, rather be safe than sorry

read the last couple posts...become a collector. keep the things that make your job easier. If you don't mind the work, I say good choice. You will have far more career opportunities with this training. If you don't like it, you can always pull a box.

I don't mind being woken up im a real light sleeper anyhow....i just don't like being woken up by qualcomm messages because people in the office think the qualcomm is their twitter account. But collect gear everything not being used(don't steal) even broken stuff you can exchange for new stuff.

Yes, collect everything. I had to have them put a bigger headache rack on my truck so I had room to store all my gear! Lol

But this thread was loaded with a lot of great info and is sure to help some of us newbies out. Thanks Schmud0811!

well what an inertesting night i had yesterday. I pull into the pilot in Dunnigan, log on here for a bit do some light reading to wind down, get undressed and go to sleep. Around 1am my truck moves....i open the curtain and low and behold their is a big ol white trailer in my door!!!
The trailer starts pulling away and keeps going. I get out of the truck to chase the guy down. I go running across the pilot parking lot barefoot and jump on the guys step.
He stops his truck and has the nerve to say "what"?
I told him "you hit my truck thats what"!
Anyhow i had a witness he took his plate number down, i took his drivers licence and all the pertinent information and didn't give him his stuff back till i got done with claims.
My truck didn't have one scratch in it, till last night! and i just got its Bi-monthly wash yesterday..ugh, at least its driveable and my feet are a lil tender from sprinting across the parking lot barefoot.

Anyhow drop the load of pipe off got a preplan to go to spokane from oakland to deliver on monday. The planner sent me a message that hes going to give me a different load for more miles (i can't complain with that)
So i picked up a load of Sierra Pacific lumber out of Anderson,CA and am taking it to denver on monday. So i will have a productive weekend!!

    scottied67 and Rotten Thank this.
