What I need to do is reroll them again, kinda sloppy job I did today on 45th ave in Phoenix.
Then again I need to repack the entire truck I swapped for today, I REALLY miss the headache rack on the swb truck.

The 53s have a few of overhang past the rear axle. Never seen a Swift truck pull one (although Swift does have 53' stepdecks), but Western Express and Melton seem to run them quite a bit.
-
I saw a 53' tandem axle (with sliding tandems) flatbed the other day. Given how often I run over 34,000 on the trailer (personal record 37,020) I'll put up with spread axle.
-
Yeah, they're out there. The ones Melton and Western Express use (IIRC, the Western Express 53's were originally SMX trailers) have spreads, and the axles are set up the same way the blue Swift stepdecks are, in order to be California legal.
