Diary of a current Swift flatbed driver

Tom,
Currently in Jackson, MS for a 12:30 am delivery (that's the part about flatbed I REALLY miss, daylight deliveries) then headed to NJ. After that I should be headed back towards PHX, I'll stick my head in when I get back.

I leased the wrong truck for flatbed. Besides, no way my shoulder could deal with it (flatbed), that's why I quit (flatbed) and went over to the darkside (van) in the first place.

 

about to start me second week with my trainer and so far i love it. Running the west coast only right now and i have to say i got so lucky. my trainer is an awesome guy and we get along great and he teaches me a ton of stuff.

 

What trucks that can be leased fit the flatbed criteria?

 

Some trucks fit the criteria better but I've seen prostars and kws that were flatbed trucks. U just have to have a headache rack. The usual fb truck is a cascadia. I'm not sure if they are leasing extended frame cascadias without a cutdown sleeper but if you can get one that would be ideal. Tom would be the guy to ask. He's out equip manager outta phx.

 

If any flatbedders need loads there are dozens sitting here ready to go in Laredo.

 

Trainer put me up in a hotel room in woodland for the night. Getting a load to the coast tomorrow and to oregon tomorrow night. Trainer is such a nice guy and is teaching me alot. getting better at setting up my backs and doing things like that and overall i am so happy that i chose swift.
