Funny, you should ask that. I had a friend ask me what kind of alcohol they had me test. On a serious note, while here in Decatur, I got on the kiosk and checked my service failures. I only got one from the Costco load in LA. That's the way I figured it would work out. I don't have an issue with getting one- I deserve it. I just wasn't wanting to find out the consequences of having three.
how often do you normally get home w/Swift? such as how many days are you usually out for doing OTR w/them? Thx
14 days is the minimum time for an OTR driver to stay out. As long as you stay out at least 14 days, time off is up to you. I stay out 3-4 weeks.
Were the other two stops late? If so you're lucky to get only 1 failure as the con(s) got late deliveries! Oh, and I like your new signature , that "flight risk" thing made me feel like you were thinking aboud leaving the company..lol.
I got my truck back on Wednesday afternoon and got a preplan from Newnan, GA going to 2 Kmarts, one in Crossville, TN and the other in Cookeville, TN. I forgot to write down the miles but I think it was 200-something. Then today I went down to Stevenson, AL to pickup a load going to Laredo, TX (pd miles- 1177). P.S. the new signature line is the result of my messed up sense of humor and REDD's messed up sense of humor colliding.
I dropped the trailer in Laredo on Sunday evening, and had a preplan on Monday evening. A one day wait is actually pretty good for Laredo. The preplan was for a load off the yard there going up to Houston this morning (pd miles 310). There was a snafu with the paperwork (the trailer number listed didn't match the trailer number in the computer) which took them about a hour to fix, so when I finally got hooked up to the trailer, I decided to just stay in Laredo for the night and leave early this morning. I'm in Baytown now with no preplan yet.
Got a ? for you. What is the company wash policy on SWIFT tractors , get it done on a regular schedule at yards or you get it done on the road and you get reimbursed.
