Well longbedGTs,the diary/blog was great while it lasted.I try to think back to when i first started,a long time ago,and what it would have been like to keep a journal not unlike you have.No computer so-
but anyways, best of luck to you and thanks for the reading, allowing me to kill some time.your updates were a bit addictive so i was obligated to complete reading them. Now i can get my day going -

    longbedGTs Thanks this.

Yes, 2 car size batteries. It lasts about 8 hours depending on fan speed.

I just put in an application with LCT, which is owned by Gainey. I have a CDL with limited experience. The add stated all I needed was my CDL. Do you know anything about them? They are not listed here.
    Thanks,
    Beans:biggrin_2555:

I dont know much. Their trucks are white FL Columbias, and I think they have APUs(one I saw looked old and ragged and rusty). Good luck!

Heres another update for ya. I left Gainey in October in search of a local job. After 3 months and no luck, I decided to go back OTR and reapplied with GTS(formerly Gainey). They took me back with no problems but I lost my seniority and the nice T2K I had. Im in a crapshaker now(hate these Detroits in the Columbias) and am only on my 3rd load since coming back. Nothings changed except the company name, but I hope there will be big changes for the company since the new ownership taking place. We are getting new trucks in a couple months, so thats a step in the right direction. I'll say it again. If they got APUs and EZ Pass...GTS would be a jam up company! :yes2557:

I fart in your general direction. :bootyshake:
Oh, are you sure its not the "NITE" system?

I was wrong when I said the A/C unit was powered by 2 batteries. It has 4...the other two are located on the drivers side near the batteries for starting the engine.

    Thanks RACEFAN! :biggrin_25514:

I believe it is a nite system, but it heats and cools pretty well, or it did before the heater broke. But idleaire just as good... and free tv...and all you gotta do is go, plz can i has some idlesaires, and they go sure! ^^

The ac sucks when its 120 degrees on the NITE but it still liveable, I would prefer the APUs like Werner had though, that thing would freeze your butt out.
