I've got omni tracs took maybe 5 minute to be installed. @Pedigreed Bulldog I like most of your posts but on this subject we aren't going to agree on it so no point in even debating it.

Very true, BUT don't say "I told you so..." to the boss just yet.

I doubt our workflow will see much improvement, but hopefully it does force some outlaw drivers into retirement and reduce the number of crashes. Only time will tell, as the saying goes.

    Congratulations on the bonus!
Did the officer even check to see if you had a working ELD?

Did seem like the bears were out yesterday. I saw one poor SOB in NJ 78 warrant 3 responding officers. So he's having a bad day.

I did get rolled through a scale but they green lit me. They did have enforcement out back working on a pair of rigs.

Nice thing about local days, I take the roads nobody would expect a truck to take.

Still, after I get loaded at this warehouse there's a road about 3-5 miles from here that occasionally has a pop-up check point. It'll be interesting to see if they're there today.

I waited to the very last moment to install the ELD, just like someone would wait to the very last moment on a palm beach vacation, before going back to an urban malaria. Or better example; I waited to the very last moment to install the ELD, just like someone would naturally wait to the very last moment before they cut his balls off. Indeed, having to adhere strictly to HOS, without ability to move away from a loud ####### parked next to you, so that the ELD is not triggered, feels like castration.
