Did anyone feel the earthquake ?

Was on a video call for work and the guy out of LA was talking about it being the best place to live. Mid call a 4.9 hits.

 

I think she’s on the ozempic now! Jenny Craig is out.

I keep getting the alerts on my cell phone that theoretically give you enough time to take cover if you're far enough from the epicenter. Every time I get one I think "Is it a (THE) big one?" One of these days it will be. It's crazy how many earthquakes SoCal has been getting lately. I don't remember this ever happening before.

 

I should’ve felt it but I didn’t. I’m about 100 miles away from Malibu or so.

 

We have some land near where the San Andreas fault runs to the ocean. We don't pay much attention to quakes until the walls in the old house start to vibrate. The house was built way back when they knew how to build things and after over 100 years and no earthquake damage I'd have to say they got it right. House is built of native wood cut and milled on the property.
That being said, we had a metal barn, 250x100, put up about twenty years ago. Very modern, very nice, pretty cheap too. It's been wracked completely out of shape to where none of the doors will
close, the windows fall out, and the slab is cracking. We sure got what we paid for.
We always have a few horses in the corrals up around the house. When they all start looking toward the fault and their ears all point in the same direction we know what's going to happen. They're seldom wrong.
