Wow getting pulled up for only 5 over thats rough must be the worst cop in AZ or their getting short on revenue. Or there's more to this story than your willing to let on.
Did I get a ticket/points or not?

Some cops will be cops I guess.
Maybe he was rolling faster and that's what cop wrote down? -
.... It's the end of the month. Had to get his quota of commercial inspections. Was "nice" and gave no tickets no fines and just a couple of CSA points
diesel drinker Thanks this. -
Wasn't going faster than 61 that's for sure. Down hill and 44k load.

There are no CSA points for 1-5 over. FMCSA regs only require your speedometer to be correct to within 5 mph.
392.2-SLLS2 State/Local Laws - Speeding 6-10 miles per hour over the speed limit Speeding 2 -- 4 points
392.2-SLLS3 State/Local Laws - Speeding 11-14 miles per hour over the speed limit Speeding 3-- 7 pts
392.2-SLLS4 State/Local Laws - Speeding 15 or more miles per hour over the speed limit Speeding 4-- 10ptsLast edited: Mar 1, 2017

Idk what part you’re speaking of but, I’ve been through the saltwater canyon part.........so awesome and picturesque!!!!!

I have never checked or worried about CSA . I guess I should just to check mistakes etc. This mess has caused a lot of unnecessary stress for a lot of Drivers. With everything already in place I don’t see a benefit at all to justify its existence.Let the chips fall where they may. They obviously started a program filled with problems they themselves created.Trying to fine tune a Jalopy

I am going to agree with the overall point you are making but disagree with this sentence. CSA is a mess. CSA is what you get when a federal agency is trying to make a program a one size fits all solution to a complex issue. Almost all the carriers during orientation scare the wits out of drivers about how the FMCSA will castrate you and your sons for a violation. Drivers then once stopped like this OP will start to fear what's coming. CSA was NEVER designed to be a general enforcement program. CSA was designed to get problem Carriers and Drivers OFF the roads. Look at that again! PROBLEM drivers! You get hit for speeding EVEN if it is 16 or more over YOU WILL NOT LOSE your CDL if it is that one time. Now before somebody gets eat up with I have to comment on this remember I said lose the CDL only. I am well aware some carriers will take other actions. We have forum members in here that use the words CSA/PSP and DAC like they are akin to the plague and will kill you! I sometimes read these comments and just sit and laugh, then privately communicate to the person to stop worrying. It boils down to this. If you are the kind of driver that can't stay out of trouble. You don't care about doing inspections and think the permit rules are just a suggestion, YOU are a dangerous driver and need to fear CSA. If this does not describe you stop worrying about CSA and go deliver that load!Rideandrepair Thanks this.
