Diesel engine stand

this is all I have of the kent more stand I have
I bought it on a government surplus auction for 350….i should have bought all three. I have a friend who has the otc version which I would say is a little better but he paid around 6k for his. A local salvage yard had one made from a road grader swing gearbox. And I’ve heard of them being made from combine final drives. All the commercial ones use a worm setup so it won’t back drive. The only complaint I have with mine is it about needs help turning when you get one to far on top and then have to turn it over

Not that I’am a expect but out of the ones I’ve seen bought or home built I like the looks of yours it’s not overly big and awkward to work around. I just have a motor shipping stand and if I need to do bottom end work I just raise it up with a forklift and set in on some heavy duty pallet rack and work that way if I’am putting pistons in I have a walk way on the rack and have somebody pushing the pistons down for me.. it’s kinda red neck curd but a guy in town is fixing to retire this year he has given me 1st chance to buy his OTC rotating stand
