DEF tank location is selected by the customer or whomever orders the truck. Some DEF locations are due to APU room, etc. and may be required by such needs. Also DEF tank size is based upon fuel tank total capacity however a larger DEF tank can be ordered to reduce fill-up timing but like anything bigger, adds weight to the chassis. You can put the DEF tank on the right side on a KW as well......

If you're really a sales guy, it is now your responsibility to make sure nobody else makes that mistake. If you're not an O/O than usually the person spec'ing the trucks never has to use them.

Point taken. Yes, we do have the buyer sign off on the choice and total spec's. Saves the "That's not what I ordered!" scenario.
