Wow that's a monster! How hard is that to reverse? How was it to handle?

As I can see dolly axel, i tried to back with dolly axel and it is easier to unhook one trailer first and do docing one by one.

Unfortunatly here longer 20 m b-doubles are not legal now, but in USSR age multy trailer trains were used.

Later MAZ made some road trains too. 47-52 m lenth depending of trucktor (COE ore conv. design)

There were 47m and 52m lenth road trains used on roads, but with limited use. Not in urban areas. gross weight was up to 100 metric ton.

They used draw bar trailers, dolly axes, b-doubles and crazy combination of all this stuff. It was a big broblem of stability in panic braking till ABS appeared. Before ABS was introdused the system was tuned up to start braking with the last trailer to pull other and keep train from jaknifing

Followed like a dream. But as Pablo said, they need to be separated to be backed up.

my favorite combination of truck and trailer is this....

but they are almost extinct when you drive truck like this you dont need mirrors trailer fallows truck exactly even better is 6x2 with steerable tag axle and 2axle trailer....
