+so they are good for cornering country roads and mountain road

    +they are more comfortable

    +more useful length

+if you need to transport less cargo you can detach trailer

+bodywork and trailer are tougher than long semitrailer

+/-in some cases payload is better in some cases worst than tractor-semitrailer

    -harder to reverse

-in some cases when you load from behind need to detach trailer

    -cant load long loads

    -more expensive

-some parts are very hard to exchange because of bodywork

also trucks with 2axles and 3axles trailer have problem with weight to length ratio of truck comparing to trailer

for example lets say that truck is 8.3t empty weight and 18ton is max allowed so that is 9.7t of payload and it have 15pallet places each should be ~640kg

trailer is 5.2t heavy and max allowed is 24t but in case if you load it up to 22t

most trailers are with 20pallet places some with 21

but non of them are larger than 23

if you have 20 that is only 13t of payload so pallets need to be heavier

6x2 trucks and 2axle trailers are good for this ....

every truck and trailer for every market.

Why do we use tint semitrailers... We got pipe plant in Lugansk and pipes are long. They load them with cranes (from top), but customer uload with fork trucks (side load), after that they put palletes in (side load) and back to east to unsload all this staff from tailgate with small fork truck.

Pipes are ~10 m lenth so we cant use b-double ore european combo.

Yep, I like b-double (ore dolly axe) with two 48' trailers, but... I cant use it here.

    one nice setup

usually for fuel we use mainly only tractor+semitrailer combination but for delivering of heating oil ( red diesel) for delivering of fuel for construction sites and similar this setup is used....

really, combos, b-doubles, dolly axes are less stabil then classical semi with long wheel base trucktor.

combos got really good maneurability. but backing is not so easy and more risk at panic braking especially on ice. ABS and EBS help, but anyway classical semi is much safer.

i think you make mistake about b-double

it is most stable combination of truck-trailer

if you ask me for 60t

i would chose 6x2 truck with 7.3m body dolly and semitrailer

    or 6x2 +4axle drawbar trailer

i dont like tractors too much impacts from rear axle

and "1" is very often problem

Yep, the real train. About impacts from rear end... get trucktor with longer wheel base... and loose some maneurebility. IMO, Century class lenth is optimal. Shorter trucktors run roughtly, European 4x2 are less stabil and more risk of jeck knifing if ABS, EBS and ESP wont working with faulty EBS components (aka ABS sensor). Longer trucks with over 134" BBC are clumzy elefants in small yards.

but what if you live here and even 3.6m wheelbase on 4x2 tractor is too long

3axle tractor with 3axle trailer and 44t would be perfect good for snow great comfort, safer, less road wear and better payload.....

    like UK and Ireland have

I always thought rocky mountain doubles were a lead( long) trailer and a pup trailer?

You are correct. The two long are turnpike doubles.
