I drove a freightliner , it's in my picture album, same! Really bad to drive, clutch is unbelievably heavy, view outside is terrible, suspension is horrible, build quality worse! I liked the size of the bed though, couldn't believe how small it is

The clutches are heavy in US trucks. That is why most drivers float when shifting. The only time I touch the clutch is stopping and starting.

is there different 5th wheel heights in US?
here we have 3basic and few specific heights
-95cm -37inch
-105cm -41inch
-115cm -45inch
tipper tractors
-120-125cm -47-49inch
front wheel drive tractors can have 5th heel up to 58inch or 148cm
strong 6x4 trucks for oversize loads and tipper trailers can have 59inch -
also look like we will get even lower standard than 95
because total height must be 4m and we have 5cm of tolerance volume trucks are usually 408-409cm
so we already have trailers with 4cm thick neck (1.5inch)
so we will get tires 315/45 140mm 5th wheel ( 12+128 ) low trailer neck 3m of interior height and this will be in law ....
i find video showing actros with those tires -lowest for now)
