really I love US Refers, like Utility. There are many of them are used in CIS and truckers use them in EU with cabovers. But for EU they have to add lift axe and side guards.

US trailers have some very radical weight saving solution this is interesting to me

we are afraid here even of aluminum and most people consider light=problematic

there was plant in Odessa, UA, they made Mond trailers, generally 3 axe, 40', 45' and 48'. they were all updated for EU regulations and they were lighter European refers. But in 2007 production was suspended becouse of recession

We tested euro spec utility trailers, although I think they were English built, floors were too High limiting interior space for European operations, build quality really wasn't great either, we ended up buying kogel instead.

i's say Utility refer is good. I saw EU specified refers, but here 48' utility are in use, longer versions are not popular and I can say they all have lighter curb weight

if you need similar truck it is always question what kind of body/trailer length do you need

so some buy 6.2+8.2 some 7.2+8.2 someone 7.45+8.2 some 7.825+7.825

so this company build system called vario-system-2000 where you can adjust length of bodies

from 7450-7825-8200mm on truck and trailer so you can load all kind of loads (max numbers of € pallets, industrial palets , of rollers , if you need to haul timber of 8m on trailer you can ) if you need to hook another trailer or tow this trailer with another truck you can and if you are nasty you can get more loading space , before 6days they made new web page and information about this product is no longer on internet this is all what google could find

also they make semitrailer which can extend on rear but looks like normal trailer no one can see difference 35pal can be loaded

our law for truck height allow max 4m and tolerance of 5cm....

however lot of trucks on road have 3m or more(3.3m-10ft 10inch) interior height and they are little bit higher some are even 412cm high

this is first trailer which is legal in this form
in 4m outside height it have 3m interior height trailer have only 40mm thick frame above tractor

    about the ride hight.....

In USSR there was the low about floor hight of trailer and as I remember it was about 1500 mm to be used with railway cargo cars.

I really do not like low rider trailers with 19.5'' tires.

when it is winter it is sow easy to damage stuff with ice on road
