I made a weekend trip to Vancouver, BC... now I remember why I have done my utmost to AVOID the place the last 8 years...give me the wild isolation of the far north anyday!

Anyway I had been home about 10 minutes & happened to glance out the window at my parked truck... and this is what I saw...

Look on the hood of my truck...

Is there any question as to why my husband named him "Diesel"?

And if you look real close you will see he is now taking a NAP!

Looks to me like the cat is supposed to be under the hood, not on top of it.:yes2557:

Cats always know where the warm spots are.

We had a farm outside cat
That would climb under the hood to get warm
One day it lost its tail
    Serious

Wildkat thank you for the pictures

    Let me check my logbook

One of my cats has been trying to out purr the big trucks for years. I think if he was magnified to the size of a rig, his purr could give a rig a serious run for its money on volume!

Cats definitely know where the warm spots are! Smart kitty!

I am enjoying your pics too!

Matter of fact I DO have a CAT under the hood as well...can't open a hood on anything around here or the shop cats are in there trying to "help". My husband swears he's going to teach the "boys" wrench sizes so THEY can run for the different sizes he needs!

thanks for posting the wonderful pictures... they are beautiful...you should do a calendar. just a couple of quick questions.....do you have to chain up? is it more snow than ice?

I have been trying to take more pictures while drivin but the camera always seems to be on the other side of the cab... so I usually take some shots with my phone....

Thank you, as I've said before I am somewhat biased...I firmly believe I live in God's country & love to show it off! I have thought about that, but then I would have to figure out how to get the thing made...cause I am about as artistic as an old tin can!

I have had to chain up once...thank god...but usually not...we have had alot more snow than usual...I have seen alot of guys that have chained up...but I tend to drive with alot more caution & care & haven't needed to. One of the secrets of driving in deep snow is to keep your foot OUT of it...let your engine do the work. I also have fully locking differentials, so when alot of guys are chaining I am simply using my diff locks.

More snow than ice? Well that depends on how cold it is..when the weather is warmer there tends to be more snow...when it gets really cold it tends to be more ice, as the snow gets packed & then melts a bit then turns to packed ice. Also alot a black ice.

I have my camera case hanging off the left arm rest of the passenger seat, so it's always within easy reach... I learned that a long time ago.
