    I have my truck governed at 90 mph, but the fastest I’ve driven consistently was at 73 mph. I did it to deliver a load on time.

    While it is true that higher speeds can in theory increase your weekly income even after paying for the additional fuel expense, a much more fair comparison would be after a few years. Why? Because the wear and tear may not show until after at least a couple years later. Now, if you buy new and sell the truck in 2-3 years, you may be able to avoid this, but as we all know, new trucks ain’t cheap.
