Different tires for my drop axle?

I have a 93 Freightliner truck. I added a drop axle a few months ago and it is working out real well.
However, the tires need to be changed and I would like to get used tires if I could. The wrecking yard didn't have the size I needed (255/70R 22.5) so I was wondering if I could install a more common 22.5 on them.
The other wheels on the truck are 24.5 and there is plenty of clearance when the axle is up in the air.

    Thanks

As long as they clear the fenders and what not you sure can change them. Might have to readjust the pressure a little so its not loading the tires with to much weight.

Throw a set of Chineseium tires on, that is what I use on mine. Good old Double Coins.
