Difficult backing with flatbedding ?

    I hear ya. When I was haulin steel as Class B trucker there were places that could hardly back into so I cannot imagine the fun you Class A haulers had. At one place I hadda loosen and pull in my mirrors cause they wouldn't get past the dock doors.

    Most of the time you see a flatbedder pulling forward and back a bunch of times to get in an easy spot is because they are trying to be gentle on the tires. I avoid doing that to my tires when possible.

    You know what makes backing a flat bed difficult? Being oversize. When you can't see behind you or really tell if your trailer is straight, that makes backing up a real PITA.
