For me I'm insane. I like my truck better then my house. Only down side is having to put pants on to go take a dump.

Some backs can be insane. Like today I was at Sherwood foods up near cleavland oh. I wish I had a vid of that back. There yard dog couldo barely get trailers in. It took me a solid half hour from set up to being perfect on the door. I was less then an inch away from the opposing wall. I was so close to the trailer to my left that I honestly think I was scraping it. Then I had to worm my tractor straight in the wagon. One inch at a time. Literally. Pull forward more then and inch hit a yellow deer (swift joke) move back more then 2 inches hit the trailer next door. It took awhile. Had to help a prime driver blind side it in two doors down. With my tractor where it was sight side was impossible.

Ehhh who am I kidding. I loved that challenge.

Honestly it's the lack of time off that sucks.

^^^^^ LmFaO~! I'm sure they'd be happy with your boxer-butt to just GET some HELP! I have NOTHING against Swift.... not at all. Some of their Flatbed guys are better than most. Just seems like the newbies are thrown to the wolves, even WITH their good intentions. I feel bad for 'em~!

When my door had a lightning bolt on it, I had 3 weeks at a cdl mill and 4 weeks of teaming with a mentor. (He was a cool guy we got along great) but then it was park this wagon go around the block and take a written test and oh by the way here's the keys to a 40 ton cruise missle it's parked out by the 13 obliterated swift trucks don't be one of them now go take a load 400 miles

Finding legal parking when the clock runs out.

Nothing worse than that feeling of dread when you circle a truck stop at night, worn out and tired and every spot is taken, even the paid ones. Last time that happened to me I stayed awake in the driver's seat in the fuel island for nearly 2 hours until I saw a truck pulling out of a spot.

^^^^^^ ahhhh @Boattlebot .... so you've been there. I never was, but now I get it with ya. I'm so glad I got into this industry before the '03 mandates, even tho I DID have to go back to "school." Heck, I forget the simplest stuff, and call home to the wife, who just got her CDLP not too long ago. She's training this summer. She knows her stuff, and I'm sure you do too. I forgot SO much....
At least you got some learning in, Boat. Good or Bad... i dunno. I have NOTHING against Swift, as I said. Yeah, they turn ya loose, too quick I reckon.. but who doesn't? LOOK at Roehl. 3 weeks MAX.

I learned more on my own. But I'm more of a do it till I figure it out kinda guy. O I shouldent do that, let's try this? Oh hey that worked cool.

I learn something new everyday (like today I learned the absolute smallest amount of room needed to bump a dock) but atleast now I feel like I got a decent grasp on the day to day
