What do you mean "Not Quiting" (i thought you did quit?)

    You don't care about "the Pay? ? ? "

    I'm really confused now...

Not by choice. It was necessary in 2009 surgery fixed a number of them. What was left was too extensive to return to trucking. 2009 was a important year, I lost eyesight then. I would not be here at all if it was not successfully fixed.

Who knows what is possible in the future. Even though I do not drive or anything, I stay current where possible with the goal of helping others a little bit. At some point that will stop too. Yes I have issues, but to someone like myself who has enough years wrestling with the big rigs, it's not a problem to drive, dock or park one. Just need a few minutes to break the rust off and see where the auto is etc. I think full computer trucks will be running and I could be involved in monitoring them as dots around the USA. I think not.

Everyone has problems. The best of those keep going despite them. Or even over come them in some way. Im working on mine one by one. Previously I was a pain patient with strong medicines, Im going into my 52nd day without them as a evaluation to see what is left that is broken. (And there are a couple) and we will go from there.

The other part of being medically retired is the doctors. They are no longer taking care of you and fixing you. They are driven by a industry such as big pharma to make you think you are even sicker and cannot live without increasingly expensive care. That got stopped too. The previous 9 months have not just been a appointment for a refill as it was the previous 10, but has become a 2 hour hell in which the clinic runs all sorts of tests saying you have this or that or something else.

BS. I say. Unfortunately for everyone of me, there are hundreds who submit to it not knowing any better.

Life is a fight. Best fought on your two feet. If you were to stop living you might as well. That's not me.

Heavy....i'm glad you're here still full of piss and vinegar (don't stop).

Well written post above and you have my respect.

You're a tough breed and not too many left like you. I wish/hope that i can be as tough.

Drs; born and breed into the system by the big pharma companies. Big Pharma sponsors Medical schools and indoctrinates their protegees to prescribe as many meds as possible and bill insurance and gov. whenever possible. Its one big racquet and were not in the club. Both my Uncles were Dr's,. and both of them too learned the long and hard way of "not to buck the system." It's all about $ (and lots of it).

We are only here for a cup of coffee (i heard someone say),...and i would have to agree.

Keep writing and keeping that mind of your's busy. I appreciate your input and thanks for sharing your perspective on things.

    On the other hand...
    What is the point?

What is the point of prolonging our life?

Life is NOT a fight, it is a gift.

My niece died a couple months ago. She had cancer at the young age of 34.
She fought it, and it didn't do her any good.
The treatment left her so weak that something else got hold of her, and she died.

So, what is the point of spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on treatment when the end result is usually the same? Dying.

And we all die in the end.
Accept the end of this life as the beginning of this life... as a gift.

    Lepton1 Thanks this.

I guess I could just stop right there, but why?

Life, in and of itself, is miracle enough. What were the chances?
But to be able to actually contemplate that life?
We are more than simple bacteria. We have an awareness that is above.

That is where I will leave it, because I need to get some sleep.

    Lepton1 Thanks this.
