I am glad to find this site, I am new here, I have had a class A with tanker and hazmat for 10 yrs, class B for 5 yrs before that. I do not have a lot of class A experience, I have been working 40 hrs a week + driving a tank wagon hauling gas and fuel the last 2 1/2 yrs, I hauled motor oil in box trucks all over MO and Kansas doing bulk pump offs at ford dealerships from totes and barrels in the truck. I have very little A time, like 3 months 10 yrs ago. 2 yrs ago I drove 10 times back and forth from kc to st. Louis filling in for a driver at work. HELP!! I live in kc and I want to drive regional! Go to school? how do I make this happen, Im not the best backing but I am good with long hours and being on the road.

What are you looking for, tanker regional or any type of trucking regional?

If you want to stay in tankers, try Schneider Bulk. Pretty good reputation for getting drivers back in the big rigs with hazmat/tanker.

There's other options with dry van or flatbed, but Schneider Bulk is probably the best for tanker. After 6 months or so then probably get some local/regional with Foodliner, Bulkmatic or several other tanker companies. Some cement companies use tankers for dry bulk cement/flyash; maybe check around KC area for that, but the pay won't be as good as hazmat.
