That's what I meant. There is free over the air satellite receivers as well, but I don't know what all they can pick up.
-
Yup. There is a good article on Wikipedia on it too if anyone wants more info on it, including a list of channels that are out there. I wouldn't exactly call it a cornucopia of entertainment exactly from the channel selection though. I haven't played with a VuQube with any free-to-air services to be able to advise further than that aspect unfortunately. But if you search this forum, I believe that I have seen other drivers who have some experience with free to air satellite programming.

I want to keep this thread going... doesn't anyone have an answer about an effective antenna???
-
It's hit or miss with digital tv. There ain't no effective antenna. One antenna might work great in one area and totally suck in another. Problem is, we're truck drivers, so we aren't in a stationary spot.
I've pretty much given up watching over the air tv. Once in a while I'll dig the remote out of my desk drawer and fiddle with it, but those times are rare. If I can get it working, I can't find anything interesting anyway. I was watching it with my laptop on sites like hulu and fancast, but then Sprint came in and capped my data on the laptop card, which put a stop to that. Now I pretty much watch it on my phone. No data cap on the phone. I can get the CSI's, NCIS, the Office, and Jay Leno the day after they air. It's on a two inch screen, but it works. The only downside to this is when they stop putting out new episodes. They only have the last two episodes of "the Office" posted, so half the year the same two episodes are stuck there. That's with AT&T's "CV" service by the way. -
If you have the sprint Air card, you can switch to Millenicom. They run on the sprint network, and are truly unlimited. Do you have a contract with Sprint, that you have to finish? If not, I'd switch, especially if the card is yours, and you paid for it. Then, you have no limits.
