Dip switch settings on a 379

    Seriously? Lol. I never would have guessed that it would have worked out the same. I was reading the chart for Type S sensors. I'm thinking most transmissions use an analog type speed sensor and Type F is a square (or digital) input wave. I would use the Type S setting first. You can always try both and see what setting works best.

    if this is an old 80MPH speedo, an old peterbilt shop boss gave me a cheat sheet to fine tune mine. Only for old school 80MPH speedo let me know

    I will get it put together for you. I got so anal with it I would fine tune it half way thru tire wear

    If I remember; say you start at 715 HZ check your odometer with some mile markers. lets say you go by 26 mile markers and your odometer says you went 29.6 miles. You want to slow the odometer down so stop and move the dip switches to say 723 (I think thats the direction to slow it down) Just a whole lot of trial and error.

    Or just see where your dip switches are set now, and then go 4 or 5 spaces one direction or the other and see where you are.

    You set the odometer to mile markers the speedo will follow
