Cable and satellite TV is toast. The future is wireless. This is Verizon's approach.

I would be happy if Verizon will bring a Tower closer to the house where I can dump the landline and get my 4G at home
NavigatorWife Thanks this. -
The unlimited data they advertise now can be throttled down to 128mps on the phone, I believe is what I read, at 22 gb. I have AT&T and the plan started out unlimited at 3gb in 2005, then they changed that, no more unlimited and I would be charged anywhere from $15.00 to $50.00 for going over, according to whoever you talked to in customer service. IN those days they would cut the data off after you reached the 3 gb. This is using an air card/wireless hotspot.
I still have the old plan, not sure if I want to have it throttled down on the computer internet when I might need it most to pull up a google map fast. Right now it costs $15.00 for each gb over what I have on the old plan.
I say they will rake people in on a free deal for a couple of years or so, and then start raising the charges. -
I have had Verizon unlimited for years. They forced me off it 2 years ago so I figured upgrading I'm not giving it to Verizon. Att gave me deal then came out with this unlimited for directv. I already had direct tv so I called and switched. I avg 175 gig a month between mainly 2 of my 4 lines. When me and my brother are on road we stream YouTube directv Netflix etc. it's never been throttled for me.
