It uses aircraft tape from 3M - very strong stuff.

You need to clean and measure the surface area where you are going to stick the bracket. Then you use heat to activate it once you have stuck it in place. Heat it and press it against your truck 3 times with a heat gun or small torch. NOT "glowing hot." Just about too much for you to be able to touch it with your hand.

Finally, run a bead of silicone or RTV along the 4 sides where it meets the truck so that water can't get under there and freeze in very cold driving conditions. Done.

If you need to take it off in the future you have to heat it again and then pry it off. Many drivers just take the Qube and get a new bracket when they change trucks, but it can be re-used if you clean it up and get another set of tape.

How does the cable get into the tractor without drilling holes?

Depends on your truck. Most cabs now come equipped with a rubber plug "pass-through" hole for QualComm. Sometimes we go through that. If they don't then I go up into the jockey box from underneath. A lot of times there is already some other cable or wire going into the sleeper area from somewhere underneath the truck. If it is sealed up tighter than a drum then you have to drill a small hole underneath the jockey box.

    curious....

what is the costs for all 3 models? I'm not sure if your allowed to post them, so you can send me a PM with more details.

I have the understanding that they can mount to a QC bracket? I don't have that bracket on my truck...... But do have a place to mount the bracket!

The QC bracket does not have the same bolt hole pattern (4 holes 8" apart in a square pattern) as the bolts on the bottom of a VuQube. Nothing that a drill can't fix. But the larger issue with the QC brackets is that they are usually up too high. When you figure that the VuQube is 18 inches tall, you usually are going to be above 13' 6" in height unless you have a fairly short rig.
