Disable Reverse Mute on Truck Stereo?

Anyone got some input on how to disable on an Isuzu NPR XD/HD stock radio? Or even HOW it cuts it off, is it something in the radio, a setting? Or is it a cutoff in the shifter?

I plow and salt driveways, sometimes hundreds at a time and having the radio cut out every 30 seconds for the length of a slow backup into a driveway gets annoying REALLY fast.

 

So it stops playing from the truck stereo and starts playing from your phone for a bit of time?
How is that any more annoying than either of them playing through the speakers for a team mate?

When I first started my mentor would only allow me to have sound from the front left speaker, because that was closest to me, and at a very low volume.
He liked audio books and would play them all the time at a volume that really bothered me.
This was 10 years ago, so no bluetooth. He used CD's.

But audio from speakers will almost always disturb your fellow driver, unless they like what you are playing.

 

I can confirm this feature is a real pain in the butt.

I ended up getting a separate bluetooth receiver that plugs into the aux port on the radio.

 

He didn't ask for your permission or opinion on what you deem safe. So dont worry bout why he wants to. Either help if you can or keep self righteous keystrokes to yourself

 

I can't stand all these self righteous ####s on this site. I can imagine all them being the saints thst are always in the safety videos. I dont understand why they cant keep their "trucking is life " super duper trucker attitudes to themselves. Everytime i come here if its about lease or something they think might be agaisnt company policy they shat themselves to tell ppl just why they shouldnt do things they dont like or accept. Either help with the actual question being asked, or simply shut up. I'll do shat i want to my truck, and fyi, i can listen to music or talk while backing, driving amd chewing gum. If you focus on wht you r doing and use goal then you shouldn't need to be in a perfectly silent safe bubble to perform a back. Amateurs!!

 

Dont explain to these busy body amateur living safety vests. You want to disable it. Enough said. Could care less why. Unless you're driving their truck, they shouldn't e either

 

Well i will just identify as a woman while backing. What a load of crap. I can do a triple lindy blindside alley dock while listening to dyers eve at max, telling my wife to go ### herself, chew gum and jack off at same time while thinking about all the self righteous, living breathing safety vests that call themselves drivers thst judge instead of help for this sites toxic value
