Next batch of new ones for me are going DISC BRAKES, last order of KW T680's there was a delay on them with DISC's and needed trucks so did not wait
-
Is there a noticeable difference when they're cold?
-
Seems to me you were too close to begin with if you could read that ... LOL
-
Not to me, in the winter they acted just the same as they do now that its hot again. Also when going down grades they don't fade like drums do. Or maybe they just grab and slow you so much better that I don't notice if they fade or not.

For an OTR tractor trailer, I'd believe it.
I just know our trucks are usually getting new brake rotors or pads every 300,000 miles or so, since they get used so often working local and running 24/7rocknroll81 Thanks this. -
A local fuel hauler in j ville talking to us about going down grades! LOL sorry DD I had too!DrtyDiesel Thanks this.

Lol I know, I used to be OTR so I'm not like some of the people I work with who have never even seen mountains haha.
-
Agreed, my first thought was how much do you have to use the Jake to get to 1 Million, Jakes are for the Mountains, don't need it in the Midwest....DrtyDiesel Thanks this.

I asked our mechanic today about how long they last. He said for our trucks they usually get about 100,000 miles before needing new pads, although he's seen our out of town trucks (they park in Gainesville and Palm Coast so they do a lot of driving vs stop and go) run about 250,000 miles before needing new pads.rocknroll81 Thanks this.
