disk brake trailers?

    I think the disc brakes are lighter ???? The one I drive for now has the disc and they are great at stopping. I also heard a bull hauler said his disc brakes on the trailer froze in the winter and the only way to thaw them out was to pull into a heated shop, wheels a dragging.

    I just know our mechanic told me he likes the disc brakes since they last longer, they're easier to change the pads, you don't have to worry about slack adjusters or s-cams or anything like that.

    Agreed! Also find that when I bobtail, maybe even when it's wet, the brakes don't lock up and I don't skid. When I drove a Freightwhipper bobtail it was scary if you were on wet, gravel or especially snow/ice
