Never ever do a deal like this. A flat fee dispatcher has no incentive to work hard to get the best loads

Really? About a year ago I called them up out of curiosity - their Social Media popularity was amazing at the time, and they said $300 per week, if I take anything...$0 if I don't. I did not what they told me...they did not instill confidence in me.

Dispatch services are load board watchers and I have a feeling they are pushing the rates down first. I can only imagine that they must pre book, overbook, possibly double - broker too. I wish all of them went out of business and everybody were responsible for booking their own loads.

If you're just a truck driver get a company job.

I do all by myself except the dispatch.
    Professional dispatcher:
    - booking loads when you are driving or working on pickup/delivery
    - answer customers while you working
    - always discuss all the details before taking the load
    - professionally negotiates god rates
    - calls the shipper and the receiver about the pickup/delivery
    - checks the broker
    -and more.
Sure, you can do it by yourself, probably better than a talentless one, but a good dispatcher 100% pays off its cost and brings you profit, make your work safer easier, and more professional.

I also work with the board and looking for loads if I have time.
    My dispatch cost me 3%.

Couple % here, couple of % there, insurance, back office, might as well just lease on to a decent carrier
