I'm hoping this is a wake up call for kb.I agree Matt and I do know of some lawyers in Nebraska that would love to put kb away.

Thats what i was trying to find out, why call them ? why didnt Abe just take the nap and continue ?
It seems like he is a nice guy and trying to do the right thing by the company, so he called - i wonder if that was a mistake.
Pattyj : so did you work for K&B and if you did -did they ever call the cops to wake you up like that ?
Just my opinion, but there seems to be way to much contact with dispatch in general anymore -maybe it was better with the pay phones and once a day check calls LOL

He pulled over long enough to drink a redbull, then call in for several minutes which had an 'amp up' effect on him when he should have just went back to lie down and relax with his eyes closed.

What happens oftentimes after a 20 minute rest and further driving , you can get a second wind and finish that 150 miles pretty easy. Especially when you get down to the final 60 miles, 48 miles, 22 miles and boom you're there.

Good info, That just isn't right that dispatch has that much power over the driver, and especially to call the driver when they see the truck isn't moving.
Not sure i could handle that and i don't know that i would be able to keep a driving job in today's world and i dont think i would have been as calm as Abe if they kept calling me or waking me up --is this the norm now ?

Where Abe went wrong was drinking a redbull when he was already tired that just makes you even more sleepy then when you go to bed to don't get a good night sleep. My boyfriend told him next time eat 4 egg salad sandwiches the farts will keep you awake, lol.

Frankly, I am ashamed that drivers are willing to be so quick to bust another driver's gonads for doing the right thing by trying to expose the dirty, underhanded tactics employed by almost every motor carrier!!!
