You don't see anything wrong with it. It's been 45 minutes from the last time they spoke until the police showed up. From the evidence provided there is no reason to believe that he'd be anywhere but his truck. Did they have the police check on the other 600 drivers to make sure they weren't snorting coke off of a lot lizzards ###?

Reading many of the posts,I cannot believe how clueless some of you are. A lot of you didn't even watch the entire video, that's clear.
Toomanybikes, K9OTR and truckerdave1970 Thank this. -
You have a point. That guy needs to lay off the phone internet and sleep and get his rest and be responsible. But every story has 2 sides to it. Companies out there want us to be slaves for minor ducats, which is wrong, but there are those on the road who fart around too darn much and make us pick up their slack. I have had dospatchers do me dirty plenty, but I got away instead of staying. If you keep your nose clean, there shouldn't be a problem moving to another company.
rank and truckerdave1970 Thank this. -

Nope, it's possible to have two losers, and that seems to be the case here.truckerdave1970 and RedForeman Thank this. -
For example, the load I just completed. Shipper delay of about 6 hours, consignee detention of 14 hours. Maybe the broker knew about that. So what? They've been good business before and earned the benefit of the doubt for that. Now I know the deal at this shipper and consignee. If I go back there and expect prompt handling, then I'm a perpetual victim. Call the US Marshalls!
What's more likely to happen is that I'll go back and do it again under a higher rate and/or detention terms in writing just for that one. I don't hate the shipper or consignee and won't mind returning some day. They were actually cool to deal with. The delays were beyond the control of the people I was in front of at both ends. The broker has offered great loads and solid rates before, so I sure don't hate him. Although I fully plan to take every opportunity to remind him how this one went in order to leverage a higher rate somewhere else. Being a problem solver will get me an extra few hundred dollars to do this one again some day.trees Thanks this. -
Let's keep this discussion a little more sophisticated.

I put myself in the dispatchers shoes. I hear this story. I'm looking at his hours of service. I remember his chea pet face. Yeah I'm calling the cops to make sure dude's truck's not smoking like a cheech and chong Van. But that's just me. Good call KB Dispatch
