Divorced with no kids but would like a nicer house and car during hometime?

I think only a trucker can understand how I feel about this. I choose to go home once every month or two since I really enjoy being out on the road. I have a new house I bought in 2009 and a 2008 G6 paid for (except for the house). When I do get home time I am home for 3 - 5 days at a time since I have so many off days built up. Here is the thing, I also own websites that generate money still on their own. Along with my trucker income I am doing very well. I would very much like to have a much nicer house in a high class area and buy a nice new BMW 525.

My friends say that would be silly since I never go home, but man when I go home it feels like a huge vacation. The ability to hop in a nice hot shower and drive as long as I want in my car is like Christmas. I am divorced with no kids so my house is pretty much abandoned when I am on the road. I shut off the power to most things and turn off the water too it when I am gone. So do you also think that it is silly that I want to get a bigger home and car? Because like I said when I am home I live like a normal person and try to cram as many fun things as possible during my hometime. I live in a normal middle class cookie cutter neighborhood, and another reason I want another house is so I can choose a wider driveway since I bobtail home and I have to position my truck to not block my garage door so I can pull out my car. Plus I want to come home to something really nice to remind me that all of my hard work paid off to live like a rich person in an upscale neighborhood. Please let me know and thanks.

 

Oh that is another thing, in my neighborhood everyone drives an Accord or Altima, basic economy cars. I do no want to stand out as the only guy with a flashy car. Especially since there are smaller houses that thugs afford who live a few blocks down.

 

I am not doing it to impress others. I have some rich friends and when I go to their house and pass all of the beautiful mansions with their perfect lawns, it makes me wonder how that life would be. Now I can afford to live that way. I have money saved up for emergencies. The only thing I am asking is if it makes sense considering I only go home once a month.

 

Thx and yes I am making sure there is no hoa or rules preventing me parking bobtail in driveway. Currently I have an ADT system and cameras I can use to watch my house over the internet. I am not worried about breakins I can afford to fix or replace things. Plus I don't see the point of being a senior citizen with a nice car. I want to get the college hotties now while I can still perform
