Be very careful with running ATF through any injector. This oil (ATF) os way thicker than any diesel fuel that these injectors were meant to flow. By doing this you maybe damaging them and/or at a minimum shorting their life. Personally I would buy the injector cleaner from Cummins or take them to a shop that specializes in injectors.

thanks, I have checked the solinoids and they are all within spec's so I think that I will clean them externally and then try and flow test them myself, and if successful and all are within spec's, then I will install new "O" rings and filters; and then once they are back in the engine and working I will run the Cummins injector cleaner. what do all of you think??:biggrin_25524:

Yeh, that`s the way I`d go too, I bought a tuneup kit from Cummins for a N14 I got some gaskets and about 5 lts of injector cleaner and it cost less than $200.

    AUSSIE DAVE Thanks this.
