    Hi everyone,
I have my own truck and trailer and I am thr owner and I have a driver operating for me now.
I am looking for some guidance to how to set up my own dispatching rather than someone doing it for me.
Anyone have a diy guide or step by step layout in how to dispatch my own.
I have a 53 dry van. Located in Akron Ohio now.
I dont need someone to dispatch me since I am currently happy with my service. I am just looking for some information.
    Thank You

You just gotta start setting up with brokers/shippers and see who's paying. Personally I have customers in ohio that send freight to california and bring it back.. there's a guy that does dispatcher training at www.freightbrokertrainer.com and a couple other guys that want your money. If you want to do it all on your own you're going to have to network with brokers and put in the time, effort, and money into figuring out who will pay you the amount you want and how regularly they have freight going where you know you can get a good backhaul rate.

or get access to a load board and set up a relationship with your brokers and they will email you their daily/weekly load lists for you to choose from. Its really awesome if you setup a good relationship with shippers. It cuts the broker out and puts more money in your pocket. I dispatch for three companies from home and I do all the billing and deal with DOT etc etc etc, driver phone interviews, the works, website, yada yada yada and I am currently working on setting up my own dispatching company. Im working on a marketing strategy where with my small company the drivers I dispatch will hopefully be able to get their loads straight from the shipper. Which means more dedicated runs and also most importantly more money per load.
