Yeah, you've heard it all, well A guy with my same name and same birthdate. I was curious, it was for running a red light. I just assumed a year ago I must have got clipped by one of those photo ticket things. I've been applying to all these companies, explaining the ticket as being a photo ticket, etc. Showed up as 3 points on my record. This would be the only ticket I've ver had too.
Anyhow, my curiosity started when I wanted to see if there was any way to get it removed, so I logged in and found the ticket to be from a county in my state where I'd never once been. OK, so I dig more and call the county clerks office. They ask for my name, then birthdate, then they come back and ask for my middle name. Clerk puts supervisor on the phone and she said it's not my ticket. Some guy with the same first, last and birthdate got the ticket.
So my question is, now it is finally being removed. I had to write a letter to my state DMV. Make dozens of calls and today they finally called me back saying it would be removed.
Should I contact all those that I've applied with? Schneider already indicated they likely would be turning me away because the ticket was within the past year, with one non fault accident as well. LOL. Could I sue the #### DMV for this? Crazy!
What really makes me angry, is that even after I spent hours playing PI and proving the ticket was not mine, they still made me go through so much crap to get it removed. It like, "yeah, we're wrong, but we really can't admit that" or some BS.
DMV had another guy with same name's ticket on my record....

Even with the same name and birthdate, wouldn’t you have a different drivers license number?
Not sure how that error happened considering your DL number is your identifier.Dumdriver and Rideandrepair Thank this. -
Cameras don't get a picture of your DL. The city of Houston tried for 2 or 3 years to collect a fine from me, when It was not my pickup, and I had not been there at all for a couple of years when they claimed they got me.
Colorado had a warrant out for me over a ticket they claimed I had not paid, even though I proved it had been paid, and they admitted it had been paid several times, they still would not pull the warrant. They did give me a letter stating that I had paid it. I kept it in the truck, but was never stopped up there again.Rideandrepair Thanks this. -

This one sounds a little fishy.

I never even had to contact the dmv about it.
Op. Re-apply to the jobs your were seriously interested in. Do so with the up to date and factually correct info this time. If anybody questions you just be 100% up front and honest. Mistakes happen. -
it is usually the middle name that can make all the difference.
if you lived in an area where "smith or jones, or johnson or davis" are so common, how could this NOT happen..??? -
Happened to a buddy of mine. He was working out west on the date of the infraction and had pay stubs indicating he was indeed at work 3000km away. Lot of BS and phone calls to get it sorted out.

But the number thing is what confuses me. Different drivers license numbers and SS #’s make it unlikely. Anything is possible though, can’t deny thatbuddyd157 Thanks this.
