When I did it we actually sold the product AND delivered at the same time.
We would make out a load sheet on an empty truck diagram designating what, how much, what package, and where, we wanted everything.

That way you kept your truck generally loaded close to the same way each day.
2 liters down the driver side..
12pks in the first 4 bays on the pass side.
    20s stretched out the rest.
    Odd packages over the wheels.

That way YOU know where everything is automatically.
When THEY load it willynilly, you spend the first part of the day snatching doors up looking for product.

    Good healthy work.
It'll make a man out of ya.
Roll 10 2ltrs up a 2 story ramp, or bump 15 cases of cans up some steps.
    GOOD TIMES

That's old school at Pepsi Fort Smith. That's how they use to do it and the driver's made a killing. Now they have pre-seller's and they're the one's that make all they money. Driver's do most of the work. Hell the driver's even have to stock the shelve's. It wasn't a horrible job but wouldn't touch it these day's. Getting too old and fat for thing's like that.
