Say if you come from Swift, Prime, CR England, Knight, etc, training schools and then after a number of years want to go to a better company, will they look down on these schools?
Do companies look negatively on paid CDL training programs

No, not at all.
Upinsmoke, truckdriver31 and Coffey Thank this. -
As long as you have 6 months, a year is better and a fairly clean driving record you will get on anywhereUpinsmoke, truckdriver31 and Coffey Thank this.

It ain’t a Harvard degree. Once you have experience nobody cares where or if you went to cdl school.
Upinsmoke, ExOTR, truckdriver31 and 3 others Thank this. -
Nope. Doesn’t matter where you get your CDL. I know a co worker who’s started out for Swift. He works at Walmart private fleet. Now he did his time elsewhere to get on there. But he did the mega carrier thing to get his CDL.
Upinsmoke, truckdriver31, rachi and 1 other person Thank this. -
no, BUT another company MAY NOT accept that training if you up and quit..DURING training, to seek another job. meaning you may have to start ALL OVER again.
otherwise, once you been driving "for a while" like at the very least 6 months to 1 year, you should be good to go...
however...again.....IF and i say IF there was any wrong doings at where you got that training, like "payoff's" to the examiners, like in some states?
your CDL may be invalid.....and there were CDL holders that had to be retested.....Upinsmoke, Wasted Thyme and truckdriver31 Thank this. -
