Do Falcon drivers need our help?

    That's exactly why I asked opinions. Doesn't matter anyway, there was no Falcon trucks in sight.

    Youngstown and western Penn isnt full of jobs and the closure of lordstown gm plant sure doesn't help .
    That area is going to suffer.

    Unfortunately yes. I would have loved to see GM retool the plant for the 1500 line if pickups being built in Mexico.

    Yup dont sit n wait 2 3 or days werks months. Time to go straight home dont pass go or collect 3 weeks of back pay..

    Drop trl n Drive the truck to closest greyhound park it anyplace. And go home.

    owner knew when lordstown shut down it would be just a matter of time before they would go broke so my as well get what he could ......... now if you are a falcon driver and your fuel card is still working dont waste it on your truck sell fuel to owner ops at the truck stops ..... i could use 100 gallons if you could use $ 100

    There is more to the story than GM closing, I am just getting some news about why but it wasn't just GM.

    ive had 4 companies close on me and a buy out which may have been worse .before deregulation many mismanaged companies stayed in buisness by default. ever since mismanaged companies fail often but new ones take there place falcon had 450 odd drivers and 750 odd trucks so over a third of there fleet was idle thats a lot of inefficiency right there ... its hard for otr fleets to keep 100% of trucks on the road but thats way over the line . by contrast the ltl companies usually have 125 drivers for every 100 trucks .

    I vaguely remember seeing a article where a load planner needed to buy a driver food because he had no pay cheque
