C'mon guys, everybody knows us skateboarders can't back. Do you really think they'll believe we back into holes like that? :biggrin_25523:

We run out of there daily, it's a comic show watching drivers "attempt" to get in those docks. 53's are tough I'll give you that, but almost everyone sets up to back in those docks wrong.

A lot will depend on the company you work for. If your company is mostly flatbed and live loads you won't drop trailers much. If your company is like the one I'm leased to with a variety of trailers (flat, step, rgn, conestoga and blade) you may drop often.

Backing a 53' spread isn't terribly difficult once you get the feel. They are slow creatures and you never want to jackknife a loaded trailer especially hard pack surfaces. Good way to blow a tire or two.

How often you hit a dock will also depend on your company. If you pull for a steel hauler you may often back into docks and warehouses. Warehouses can be super tricky depending on time of day.
