Do fleets get a massive discount off fuel at Pilots/Petro?

I'm pretty sure my company gets a discount through the EFS card we use to buy fuel. No way would the owner pay $0.30 per gallon more for biodiesel infused diesel at a Pilot/J than buy premium diesel for less money at a local mom and pop shop.

The infuriating thing here is that the megas and their arse kissing ATA never mentioned a word about their discounts when advocating for ELD mandate in their "level playing field" argument.

So it is so very true to say that by buying fuel at Petro - TA/PFJ/Loves for cash price you sponsor megas.

    P.S.
I say "No!" to this and getting myself NASTC membership soon. Of course, the fuel card is the carrot and the "meeting" is the stick. I hope they are more or less like OOIDA for what they stand for...I'll find out at the meeting...maybe I'll ask some questions too.

The megas don't need sponsoring. They buy so much fuel that they get the discount they want. I remember TA wanting to pay hardball with Prime Inc. Not the biggest mega, but seeming just big enough. Prime just cut them off for a bit and TA lost millions in that quarter.

It was shocking to me as a company driver because they weren't even a frequent fuel stop.

The megas do need to buy a certian amount of fuel in "bad" areas to retain the discount.
