Do I get 2 looks for each skills maneuver?

It supposedly means that if you have to get out and look more than twice, you don't have the skills to be backing a semi-truck.

Which I find to be hilarious.

Bob gets out five times to perform his 90 and does three pull-ups. He's perfect in the box after two minutes.

Rick never gets out of his truck and refuses to make pull-ups. After ten minutes of cussing and stress he finally gets it in there about as crooked as it can get, but his tractor and trailer are straight.

I don't know about you, but I'd trust Bob backing more than I would Rick. But Rick has a CDL now and Bob doesn't because the inspector failed him.

Or worse Rick hits a cone and goes outside of the lines but ends up in the box. Bob doesn’t hit any cones or go out of the box but fails because he gets out and looks too many times.

They dont tell you anything you need to know in CDL school. except maybe shifting. They make you start in 1st with a short trailer and no weight. I think its a sham to get more money once you fail

At Millis, the only trailers you pull are 53' long. And surprisingly, the trailer that we used for driver training at Cartersville was full of rims. The shop used it for storage. That gave us some weight. No shifting, Millis is all automatics.
