If I ticked anyone off about my views on marijuana, then Im sorry. Everyone has their views and opinions on it. I have quit smoking myself and have no need to go back to it. There is more important things in life than to get high. Once again, Im sorry if I ticked anyone off.

alot ... about alot ... such as ...
... that you have no reason to apologize for your take on the matter. I even agree but it is against the law, nuf said.
... I would not condone lying on an application. Although it may hurt your chances, that is what you have to live thru. That is life, you were doing something you should not have done, you get caught, you pay the price. Sad but facts are as they are, move on with dignity.
... I would suggest you try to get on with a company that provides their own training in your situation. I believe you would have a better chance of actually getting accepted and having a job in that way.
... just my 2c of course. GOOD LUCK!

Well, I felt the need to apologize for the way I addressed people on the matter. Not everything I say comes out the way I intended. I have never lied on an app because I dont want it to come back and bite me in the ##* later, I have no problem being up front.
Im already scheduled to start a CDL school on the 24th that teach PTDI certified courses. I called BTC and told them I had a misdemeanor possession charge in 2004 and the lady said she didnt see where that would be a problem so hopefully I can get on there.
Yes, I got caught, paid the price and now I am trying to move on with dignity and thanks for the luck.

I'm a little late here but I'll try to help.Drug test results,by law,are confidential. The results stay with the employer, the lab and the doctor. They can't be released to anyone one else without your written consent. The exception to this rule is if there is a arbitration or litigation issue and the court then can have access.Roadmaster is just a training school, not an employer, but under federal law you still must submit to a drug test because they are the owners of the training trucks. However they still must follow federal guidelines regarding confidentiality just like employers. As far as USIS(DAC report)Roadmaster, even if they do subscribe to USIS, they can't release a failed drug test result with out your written consent. If it does show up on your DAC without having given your written consent, you can take all the above parties to court. If you had been employed at the time of a failed drug test, your employer would most likely fire you but a few,a very few, will get you to substance abuse professional, get treatment and get you recertified to drive.I am rambling on so I'll answer your question.
1.Can I still obtain a CDL and drive?Yes.Clean up your act, reapply to a driving school or company school and do it.
2.Will a failed drug test haunt me?In your case,NO.You weren't employed by anyone and you did not fail while driving a CMV or during your on-duty status.
3.Do I have to tell anyone about a failed drug test? No.It's confidential unless you signed a release stating otherwise. However,in the future
if a court finds you guilty of operating a CMV while under the influence say goodbye to your license.
4.In the hiring process,be careful of what you sign.It may come back to haunt you.
