I finally found a starter company that I felt comfortable/tolorable with as a first class A job, a lower 48 state otr reefer position with National Carriers. I told the recruiter I want to be apart of the company and they said it can take a week to get onboarded, but that was an estimate. I knew that going in it would take time before they would give me the OK for orintation, but part of me is worried I should be doing more. Should I be talking to more companies and asking for more opertunities, or wait out the period and risk going over the 1 week estimate?

    Thank you for the time

No need to hurry up and wait. A week isn't that long for that process, all things considered.

you're right. im just worried that the recruiter is lying to me and I wont hear back until a month or more later. I've had that happen to me before for a class B job.

So cool story. I double checked with National Carriers, they came back and said I was rejected the job offer and wouldn't give further details. So I went with US Xpress, gave them all the info they asked, and I do orientation on the 28th. An OTR dry bed job. Standard starter position. The company said they would get more details from me next week about direct deposit, and transportation for how Im getting to the facitlity. All of this gives me more confidence I actually will hold a job in the next few weeks.

I'll be danged. Well, looks like you were right to be suspicious. Did anything in particular about that hiring process make you feel like it wasn't up and up?

I dont hold recruiters words alone as law, but them providing me a dated timeline helps alittle bit, does it not?
