Ok. You're not driving for another 2-3 years. And even then you're choices are limited. By the way, with a 3.8 GPA in college, why are you wanting to drive again?

 

ill chime in this with, when I was in CDL school about a month ago, Trans am recruiter specifically said we're known to be a second chance company and we will definitely consider you if you have a felony or a DUI. The pay is not the best there but they have very nice trucks.

 

I never said you were stupid (although questionable choices in life maybe...), and what I was referring to in my post are the multitude of companies in and around Chi-town that are owned and staffed by mostly E. Euros that are notorious for running raggedy-### equipment (and drivers...lol)
Most of them run questionable logs/HOS and will hire almost anyone who has a valid CDL.
So sounds like it might just work out for you, Comrade ....

 

by the time you're ready to roll werner will hire you.if you wasn't on probation they would probably hire you now.

 

Some companies hire ex-cons that did time for murder.
Sex offenders have the roughest time finding driving jobs, but still can drive usually for some 1099 company.

 

You better ask Joe before you post any recommendations

 

Try for pre-hire letters. The CDL school may require it anyway.

These companies bend their hiring rules as to what's on the websites.

I doubt Western Express will hire you; they're crackin' down.

 

I know an individual who has a drug related felony theft on his record (did 5 yrs. in state pen). He was hired on by TransAm and that charge was only 6 yrs. old at the time.

 

Because he didn't have a 4.0?
