I always run with my radio on cause I don't do pre trips ..just wait till I get the alert for flyin rubber and falling parts and head for the shop , I save lots of time on my elog this way.
Do most drivers nowadays know CB codes?

I still find an occasional driver that will carry on a conversation with me late at night..
I think running the areas I do in TN,KY,VA and out west there are few more people that actually use the radio..
Usually always find a couple decent drivers running I-40 or out I-20..
My radio stays on whenever the truck is moving....just an old habit. -
ComplyFly Thanks this.

I simply got tired of the only time I heard anything on the CB was in Battle Creek, MI and I forget where on I80 in PA for gentlemen's clubs.

In all seriousness ive run a radio for 30 years and still do but times have changed to the point of such filth and disrespect on it that I only turn mine up is if the weather and roads are bad or I'm running with friend .

I had a CB but more just used it for entertainment and listening to the idiots
ComplyFly Thanks this.
