Do noise filters for CB radios work???

Yep. If the noise is coming in like a signal through the antenna...all the noise filters in the World would not do a bit of good...not sure there's much you can do about incoming signals that crate noise, other than driving away from it as fast as you can peddle...

Why “nicer”?

Because they are a shiny blue color or the wires are wrapped up nicely?

They MIGHT be nicer. If they are, it’s due to being an industrial supplier. Where one hopes reliability counters cheap manufacture.

I got a 70 amp a 25 amp and a 120 amp.
I think I'll put the 70 amp in my center console and wire the radio directly to it and I'll let you know how it goes. If worst comes to worst I'll add the 120 amp directly to the alternator.
