No sense arguing -- it is required: § 393.76 (h)

It is the law just doing it's job, keeping you safe from yourself. They do tend to target certain drivers from up north...it's sort of welcome to Texas thing. Oh by the way what other defects did he find during your inspection?

so that's what the net on the back wall is for. first truck i've driven with a net.

i know someone that almost got put oos for an actual oil leak. they couldn't find it in the regs. so officer had to bite his tongue so to speak.

texas is famous for mudflaps. yet. ALL there in state trucks are in violation.

you ever get a mud flap violation. take pics. i'm sure it could easily be beaten in court. my warning is 3 years old. so it's gone from my csa now.

Got to pay for them $200K dollar cruisers somehow. It's never been any different. Cops and trucks, cats and dogs. I've had my share of hassles over the years. Good luck to all, especially newbies, didn't tell you about that BS in school, I bet.

I passed a DOT inspection on one day in northeast Texas and then failed the next day along the border. That station in Los Indios is the worst.

They claimed the truck was leaking exhaust, and they could see the pipe under the tractor had soot all over it. It was black paint.

The past couple of years Texas has really been bad. Now that the federal government has been militarizing everything, to get people accustomed to living in a police state, it has been getting progressively worse.
