I am an O/O and haul cars for a living. In all my years of trucking I have been paid for every load.....EXCEPT THIS ONE. Dependable Auto Shippers brokers on Central Dispatch and is out of Mesquite, TX. I pulled a car for them in March with a 30 day pay schedule, which is no problem. But after many calls to the office, owner and accounting all I get are lies.
"you will be paid today", "check is in the mail", "give us your ACH information and we will pay your account today"......ALL LIES. Here it is almost July and still not paid!
I looked this company up on the internet and they have VERY POOR ratings from customers. Guess we all learn who the bad apples are in this industry.
ALL YOU CAR HAULERS......STAY AWAY FROM DEPENDABLE AUTO SHIPPERS!!!
DO NOT HAUL FOR DEPENDABLE AUTO SHIPPERS

Is this the same company that has their own trucks or a broker?
-
Both. They are a crap company from their ridiculous paperwork system to them always paying late. I won't touch their cars now unless they have the desperate price on it
-
I am going to file a claim with their Bond company and see what response I get. This is just a rediculous waste of time and energy.
TequilaSunrise and icsheeple Thank this. -
If they don't pay why botherTequilaSunrise Thanks this.
-
I've never had a problem with them not paying. But 4 out of 5 times they do pay late.
-
Better get used to fighting for your money if your gonna haul cars.
-
I don't fight too hard, I've got the VIN, I'll put a lien on it. Only had to threaten to do that once. Told a dealer the broker wasn't paying me and I was coming to get the Nissan GT-R off the showroom floor and lock it in my trailer till I got paid.
Another site I'm on, people have been complaining about DAS, I won't haul it unless it's COD for them.
And I won't haul anything that has a longer pay schedule of 15 days.icsheeple Thanks this. -
The other issue with DAS was going back & filing damage claims on cars. Have heard more than one o/o who ran dedicated for them talk about that. By going back, I mean 6 months or later.
Their brokerage agreement pretty much puts a o/o in a specific position.HeWhoMustNotBeNamed Thanks this. -
..... and people wonder why I got out of it ........ back to freight ... back to pin-to-pin
